We got together one night and decided to write a song together. We both wrote a verse and recorded it using a cellphone for the dubs on the hook. The original beat was a lot simpler, but we decided that we didn't like the sound of it, because it was lacking something.
We didn't touch it for another year or so, until Seth asked if I still wanted to work on it. I decided to go for a far grittier style of beat than the original. After I finished it and sent it to Seth he said that he did not like it at all. It's still one of my all time favorite beats and songs to this day. I think it came out far better than almost anything else I've ever done.
